Heidi Zin - Artist Statement
From a young age, my art has been a constant
rhythm in my life. I have always felt an intrinsic
pull towards creative expression, where color,
shapes, lines, patterns, and textures become a
means of understanding and communicating with
the world around me. This pull has become a
personal sanctuary of love, fun, and self-mastery,
as well as a connection with others.
My work is inspired by the beauty of the natural
world around me, human emotions, and the
interplay between light and Shadow. I am deeply
influenced by water, shamanism (also called
modern mysticism), and the search for inner
meaning.
Falling In and Through – Art and Prose from Heidi Zin
Falling In and Through is a visually rich, soul-baring journey of fine artist Heidi Zin’s healing after a tragic accident left her unable to paint with her hands. Told through raw reflections and powerful imagery created with her feet, this book traces the arc of her descent into grief, the surrender to what could not be controlled, and the slow, sacred process of rediscovering her voice, her body, and her creative fire.
Each page invites the viewer to witness not just art, but transformation—a reclamation of spirit, identity, and wholeness through color, movement, and the language of intuition.
